Through the voluntary and sporadic contribution of our time, skills, and effort, Aperturas Creativas brings art to vulnerable populations in care network centers of all age groups.

Even in the face of complex challenges, each participant surprises us with the strength of their creativity. We reflect on its effects on people with discouraged dreams; interrupted artistic journeys, and talents yet to be discovered or valued.

We invite participants to create playfully — through hands, voices, and movement — expressing what, at first, cannot be otherwise conveyed. Each participant encourages and inspires — those around them — to open themselves to the therapeutic potential of every encounter with the visual arts, evoking and bringing into motion what is most singular and deep within each person.
